Preston woman killed in snowmobile accident
A 77-year-old Preston woman died from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident Sunday.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Karla Cattani was operating a snowmobile near her home Sunday afternoon. She crashed into an overhead fuel tank, which fell on top of her.
A sheriff’s office spokesman said Cattani was being transported by ambulance to a hospital when an officer arrived on the scene.A relative told the officer when he arrived at the hospital that Cattani had died of her injuries.
The accident happened at 3142 W. 7600 North in the Banida area near Preston.
