Driggs man faces burglary charges in Wyoming

After a six month investigation,Teton County Sheriff’s deputies in Wyoming and Idaho arrested a 19 year old Driggs man Thursday on multiple burglary charges. Juan Castillo-Arellano was being held in the Madison County jail in Rexburg and is awaiting extradition to Jackson, Wyoming.

A Teton County, Idaho investigation into a series of residential, commercial and auto burglaries in Teton Valley implicated Castillo-Arellano with an offense in Teton Canyon, near Alta, Wyoming in October, 2012.

He was arrested on a Wyoming felony warrant for auto burglary and conspiracy to commit auto burglary.

According to Teton County, Wyoming deputies the two agencies are working together to identify and file charges against multiple other suspects. They believe those other suspects have conspired since 2011 to commit burglaries in both states.

Castillo-Arellano will likely face additional charges in Jackson based on an investigation linking him to a residential burglary in Alta, Wyoming in November, 2011.

Teton County, Idaho authorities said their investigation is continuing. Idaho deputies expect to announce numerous other charges soon.
