Rexburg man arrested on child enticement charge
A 24-year-old Rexburg man is being held on $30,000 bond on charges of attempting to entice a girl under the age of 16.
Zachary Landon Farrer was arrested Friday in a Rexburg police Internet sting operation.
Police began investigating last week after an adult found a solicitation aimed at a young Rexburg girl.They said Farrer was using the Internet to converse with females, including minors.
Police posed as the young girl and set up an appointment to meet him.Officers said Farrer was fully aware the girl he would meet was under 16. He was arrested when he showed up for the appointment.
Experts are analyzing Farrer’s cell phone and computer as investigation continues.
