Man accidentally shoots self in Lowe’s parking lot
The Pocatello Police Department said a man accidentally shot himself with his handgun in the Lowe’s Parking Lot Saturday afternoon. It happened around 11:30 a.m. inside his vehicle.
Police said they believe the man had left his handgun in his vehicle when he went into Lowe’s and was re-holstering it when it discharged.
He has a minor injury, but the police department says the injury is not life-threatening. He was taken to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment.
Police say the incident was an accident and the man, whose name is not being released, will not face any charges because he was in legal possession of the firearm.
