Man faces sexual abuse charge

Police arrested a man they said inappropriately touched a young girl.

Nicholas D. Peterson, of Idaho Falls, had been investigated since December after police got a tip he was inappropriately touched a 3-year-old girl.

Peterson was arrested Tuesday morning on a charge of sexual abuse of a child under 16 and was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
