After 38 years, it’s time to say goodbye

After 38 years of business, The Raven’s Nest in Pocatello will be closing its doors after owner Kate DeLate decided to retire.

The store sells outdoor clothing and other accessories, all of which DeLate said will be 30 percent off, increasing as time goes on to clear out all merchandise.

DeLate said she feels fortunate she was able to make the choice to close the store, rather than being forced to go out of business. She said she has enjoyed building relationships with her customers and watching families grow, which makes retirement bittersweet.

“It’s just been a great year. I love Pocatello, I love doing business in this town and I love our customers,” DeLate said. “It’s going to be hard to go.”

She said she will still be busy however, organizing the Spring Fair at Holt Arena every march, taking reservations for the Westside Player’s Club and making screen t-shirts.
