Organizers: Idaho Falls fireworks show will be bigger than ever
For the past three days, crews from Western Display Fireworks have occupied the Idaho Falls greenbelt preparing for the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration fireworks show.
This will be the 22nd fireworks show, and pyrotechnicians say it will be bigger and better than ever.
“They are producing better colors. They’re producing shells that break harder and have better effects,” said Larry Nelson, lead pyrotechnician with Western Display Fireworks.
Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday night, they’ll be setting off more than 17,450 shells, making this the largest fireworks display west of the Mississippi.
