Bengals try once more to slide into world record books

On Saturday, some students at Idaho State University rolled-out the black tarp to once again try for a second time at making their way into the world record books for the longest slip-n-slide.

In August 2013 the students were successfully able to surpass the world record holders which stood at roughly 82,000 feet, and the bengals crushed them, reaching just over 100,000 feet.

But since the witnesses chosen to watch over the event were ISU staff members, the Guinness Book of World Records deemed the school ineligible, and Boise State swooped-in once again and took the title at 103,000 feet.

But this year, the students completed more than 146,000 feet in just under one hour.

In this video, some of those students showed us what it was like to plummet down a 188- foot slip-n-slide to crush the world record held by one of ISU’s old rivals.
