Business raises $10,000 for leukemia, lymphoma

Construction supplier BMC held a yard sale at its Holmes Avenue store in Idaho Falls both Friday and Saturday to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphona Society.

In addition to the yard sale, the company also held a raffle for a .22 caliber rifle.

BMC said it’s raised around $10,000 from both the raffle and yard sale.

“BMC had a couple of their senior management folks that actually had a form of leukemia, a blood cancer disease, and so as a company we embraced it largely just to help those guys,” said BMC area manager Rod Hughes.

The winner of the raffle will be announced Monday.
