Balukoff concedes Governor’s race

Democratic gubernatorial candidate A.J. Balukoff formally conceded to republican Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter Wednesday morning. Balukoff also thanked supporters who helped him bring attention to some very important issues.

Balukoff said his campaign supporters “changed the tone of the conversation about education in Idaho.”

He called Otter late Tuesday night and congratulated him on his victory. “I told the governor I would be honored to help in any way possible to make our state better, especially our education system,”said Balukoff. “I urge the members of my party and all Idahoans to come together, through our common values, to pursue our shared goals, so that we may rise to the challenges before us.”
