New snow bodes well for skiing
Storms this week have covered Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in snow – 14 inches of it so far.
This brings snowfall totals for the season to 4 feet. The resort said Friday afternoon it expected to get more in the next 24 hours.
“We are ideally situated for receiving really good quality, light density, powder, what the locals refer to as ‘cold smoke,’ and this storm is delivering exactly that,” said local meteorologist and mountain weather expert Jim Woodmancy in a news release from the resort.
JHMR said this bodes well for a “very good opening” on Thanksgiving.
