Rocky Mountain Power plans outage in Parker-Plano area

Rocky Mountain Power says 872 customers will be affected by a planned power outage Tuesday. It will affect customers in the Parker and Plano areas. Customers were notified of the plan a week ago.

A utility spokesperson said crews will be installing transmission poles near the Snake River. They are intended to help prevent arcing during stormy weather and avoid extended unplanned outages in the future.

The work was planned between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., but the actual work was not expected to take that long.
