Will Grace Lutheran Church build new school?

Grace Lutheran School in Pocatello may build a new high school, and Local News 8 has learned Pocatello/Chubbuck District 25 is talking to the school about this.

The district insists Grace Lutheran hasn’t decided if it will build the school and is only looking at the feasibility of doing so.

But previous reports suggest the decision has already been made, even giving competition dates for the project.

Local News 8 asked District 25’s Superintendent Mary Vagner what the addition of a private high school would mean for the district, but she refused to discuss it.

Other district sources said it could draw both students and funding away from public schools.

Local News 8 has contacted Grace Lutheran School but haven’t heard back.
