Jackson Hole Mountain Resort opens Thanksgiving Day
For the second straight season, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will open up its slopes to skiers and snowboarders Thanksgiving Day.
Wednesday the resort put the finishing touches on everything from the store to the slopes.
Skiers riders will have over 2,000 feet of terrain Thursday and Friday, and then on Saturday terrain will be expanded to 3,000 vertical feet.
Communications Manager Anna Cole said the snow depths at the base of the mountain are better than they’ve been in years.
“That’s more snow than we finished last season with,” said Cole.
For the fourth straight season, the resort will open as Forbes Magazine’s No. 1 resort in North America.
“They score ski resorts from all different categories,” said Cole. “From snow quality, to lifts, to restaurants, to transportation to lodging.”
