Teton family wins $2M
The Idaho Lottery has announced who bought the $2 million winning ticket in Fremont County.
Don and Pam Grende of Teton bought the Powerball ticket at the Go-C-Goe for last Saturday’s Powerball draw.
When the Grendes learned through local media a winning ticket had been bought in Fremont County, Pam checked her tickets and called her husband to tell him the news.
“I just about fell over,” said Don in a lottery news release.
Together with their sons, Dave and Dallas Grende, Pam and Don claimed their $2 million ticket from the Idaho Lottery on Friday. The ticket was split equally among them.
The family has lived in the Teton area for nearly 40 years. Pam and Don are retired, and Dallas and Dave are now considering joining them.
For its part in selling the winning ticket, the Go-C-Goe of Teton will get a bonus from the Idaho Lottery of $25,000.
The current Powerball jackpot for Saturday night’s draw is an estimated $131 million.
