Food banks need donations

The food banks in eastern Idaho need your help. Supplies of canned goods are running extremely low.

Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership especially needs donations of canned fruit and protein-rich foods.

EICAP expressed the need of getting these donations for one group in particular.

“We’re worried about the children getting enough protein in their diet because we’re not receiving as many donations with protein-rich foods,” said Helen Stanton, senior volunteer coordinator.

EICAP will be accepting donations Saturday through Jan. 20 at its Idaho Falls location at 935 East Lincoln Road.
