Locals erase old history with laser tattoo removal

Ten years ago Wendi Maestas had no regrets when she got a tattoo on her neck– but now things are a little different.

“I’m not who I was when I was 18, and I work in a very professional atmosphere and it’s not something I want to be seen by the public and I’m getting tired of looking at it myself,” said Maestas.

Thanks to laser removal technology the tattoo will soon be out of sight
“The excitement of getting it off and moving on growing, maturing in life is totally worth the pain,” said Maestas.

Founder of Eastern Idaho Tattoo Removal, Larry Hall said the pain is similar to getting a tattoo or being splattered with grease.
He uses the Astanza Trinity laser on patients because it’s quick.

“(It) works in 6-billionths of a second and so it’s so quick it shatters the ink molecule without doing any damage to the skin so the technology for both color, safety and effectiveness has dramatically increased in the last few years,” said Hall.

The amount of time it takes to completely remove a tattoo depends on different factors like the age, size, and color of the tattoo.

Hall says most patients need between three to 12 non-invasive treatments.

You have to wait six weeks between sessions because that gives your body time to push out the broken ink.

When you go in for a consultation at Eastern Idaho Tattoo Removal they will test the machine on your skin so you can see how it feels, as well as give you an estimated price.

If the price ends up exceeding the estimate, the rest of the work is done at no cost.
