One man injured after bus collides with pickup
A Madison County man was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital for treatment after his pickup was struck by a Sugar-Salem school bus. The crash happened around 7:40 a.m. Thursday.
According to Madison County Sheriff Capt. Cameron Stanford, the bus was stopped at the intersection of Teton and Moody roads near Sugar City to pick up students. Once students boarded, the bus pulled out of the intersection and into the path of an oncoming pickup.
He said conditions were foggy at the time of the accident.
Stanford said a couple of students were treated on the scene for minor injuries. Students on the bus ranged in age from elementary to the high school level.
The pickup driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Investigation is continuing.
