Rigby bowling alley vandalized
Rigby police are investigating a break-in at Rigby Bowl at 263 South State Street overnight Sunday. The incident was reported early Monday.
Rigby police said the perpetrators got into the business through a broken window.
Management guessed the vandals did $100,000 to $150,000 in damages. They used a fire hose to water the lanes, and water was still running when police arrived. The lanes were buckled and warped from the water and will probably will have to be rebuilt from scratch. A cleaning service is trying to dry what it can from the floors.
Vandals threw bowling balls through the beer cooler door and at jukeboxes. They broke into cash registers, vending machines, arcade machines and pool tables. They broke scoring tables and stole televisions and computers.
The case is under investigation.
