Blackfoot man dies in I-15 crash
A Blackfoot man died in a crash on I-15 in Pocatello on Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday, March 21 , at 1 p.m. a 2014 Freightliner pulling a single trailer, drifted off the left side of the roadway, through the median, and across the southbound lanes.
Idaho State Police say the truck was driven byJay B. Hardy, 51, of Blackfoot.
Hardy’s vehicle continued through the right-of-way fence into the lava rock, and came to rest on the right shoulder of southbound Interstate 15.
He was wearing his seat belt, ISP said.
Hardy was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Hardy’s sister, Janette Mosbrucker, told Local News 8 on Monday that Hardy had died of a massive heart attack.
This crash in under investigation by Idaho State Police.
