Pathways under construction on West Broadway in Jackson

A construction project on West Broadway in Jackson will close driveways to some businesses and even intersections from time to time this summer.

It’s part of the Path 22 Project to connect Jackson and Wilson. The project features a path near the road for bikers and a separate path for pedestrians.

Construction started in 2013, but Teton County’s Pathways Coordinator Brian Schilling said, this fall, the remaining stretch of Broadway will be completed.

“It’s going to make this whole stretch of road a lot more inviting to everyone and I think it’s going to make it a lot friendlier for vehicles, bicyclists, pedestrians and it will end up having a really positive affect, in the end, for the businesses and the community,” said Schilling.

Schilling said no businesses will be closed during the construction.
