“Gone Fishing” debuts at Idaho Museum of Natural History
Fishing is a popular recreational activity in Idaho.
The main catch for Friday is the grand opening of the Idaho State University, “Gone Fishing,” exhibit.
The exhibit features interactive games and learning activities for children and adults.
There are a number of one-of-a-kind art pieces on display.
Museum staff said the main goal of the exhibit is to hook visitors on learning abut native wildlife, especially fish.
“Everything from trout that we know of all the way down to these fish that we call daces, chubs. There’s a lot of different fish more than just the ones we think of. More than the fish we catch for food. We have large sturgeon all the way down to smallest little fish,” said Leaf Tapanila, the museum director.
