Technical Careers High School offers agriculture classes
For the first time ever, an agricultural program will be offered for students in Bonneville County.
With the large amount of agricultural careers in eastern Idaho, it only makes sense that the Technical Careers High School is adding another sequence to their repertoire for students.
“We have a lot of people in our area, especially being a largely rural district we have a lot of farmers, ranchers in our area that have students that go to our school and it’s been a request for many years to have an agriculture program,” said Craig Miller, principal of Technical Careers High School.
Some of the classes include plant science and animal science, for students interested in both veterinary science or horticulture.
For students enrolling in the courses, they’re looking forward for new opportunities they haven’t had before.
“When it comes to school, when you’re classes apply to what you do at home or your job then it helps you a lot in the end,” said Logan Holverson, a senior at Technical Careers High School.
