Idaho Falls Greenbelt construction begins

Construction started Wednesday on a $900,000 project to improve a trail on the Idaho Falls Greenbelt.

The trail is a dirt path, with scenic views of the falls, and is obvious need of repairs. The plan is to make cosmetic improvements, such as making the path wider all one terrain, as well as putting in more lights, and putting protective barriers up where there are steep drops to improve safety.

They are also going to update the signs, which are about thirty years old.

The construction is expected to last until the spring of twenty-sixteen.
