Idaho Art Lab hosts “Celebrity Doodle Art Show”
The Idaho Art Lab kicked off its third annual “Celebrity Doodle Art Show” Friday.
The St. Anthony based art lab is exhibiting original doodles drawn by celebrities. The show has grown over the last two years, and now features works of art and autographs from about fifty celebrities. The show includes original pieces from celebrities such as author George R.R. Martin, actress Julia Louis-Dryfus, and Presidential Candidate Donald Trump.
The show also includes works of art from local celebrities as well. They have pieces from the First Lady of Idaho, Lori Otter, as well as Rexburg mayor Rich Woodland, and local artist Leon Parson.
“The celebrities are selected by our volunteers, and the people who have viewed the past shows. And we have a suggestion board for who you would like to see. And so that’s your opportunity to request and then we send out the request,” says Daniel Hidalgo, the gallery curator and director of education.
The show has enough doodles, that you can go every year, and not see the same pieces over and over again.
The exhibit runs until the end of September and is free to the public.
