Train Strikes Truck Near Downey
A man was taken to the Bannock County Jail Tuesday night after his truck was hit by a train near Downey.
Ryan Steward, 39, of Downey, was traveling west on East 2nd Street when his Dodge pickup stalled on railroad tracks just before 11:30 p.m.
Steward got out of his vehicle before it was struck by an oncoming train.
After an investigation, Idaho State Police charged Steward with felony DUI and driving without privileges.
