Check your car before traveling
AAA forecasts that 46.9 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home during the Thanksgiving holiday.
A roadside survey by AAA reports that millions of breakdowns each year could be prevented with basic car maintenance.
According to AAA, nearly 42 million Americans will take a holiday road trip this Thanksgivings.
Before you hit the open road they recommend you check your tires before traveling long distances along with checking your car battery.
They also expect to rescue more than 360,000 motorist this holiday.
“The worst thing to happen is if you get up in the morning and as you can see you have frost all over the car and you go out and you try to start it and it won’t start and you got to get someone to come and jump start you.And now your running late to work,” said Teton Toyota of Idaho Falls sales manager Jeff Gibbons.
Around this time of year we get a lot of phone calls because people’s batteries die, said Zach Pickering, Sunkiss Towing.
Pickering also suggests, “So one thing you can definitely do before the snow before it gets really cold definitely do a service check.”
