Bengal Pride Bash geared for higher student success
The student involvement center at Idaho State University has put together a fun night, not just for students, but for the community as well. It’s called the “Pride Bash,” which will be held Friday night at Barts Field. The design is to get more students involved in the university, which can trigger higher academic success in school.
Bengal Pride Programmer Katie Johnson of ISU says she’s really excited to get this going. It’s something she’s been working very hard towards.
The event will have a cheesecake bar, prizes, motivational speakers, and fireworks.
The community is invited and free of cost, pets are even allowed as well. The event begins at 8p.m.
“I think that’s a really important thing that students have fun while they’re here. They have pride in what their university can do for them. Having a night like this, they can look back and say, ‘yeah we hung out on the field all night, threw a frisby, had cheesecake and watched fireworks. And there’s something special with the finale that has something to do with pride too,” said Johnson.
