Madison County arrests man for vehicle theft
One man was arrested by Madison County deputies for vehicle theft, Wednesday morning.
Early Wednesday morning around 5:30 a.m., deputies received a report for a stolen vehicle in the county outside of Rexburg.
The Sheriff’s Office says, “The complainant reported that another vehicle, not belonging to the home owner, had been left at the residence next to where their vehicle had been stolen from. The abandoned vehicle was registered to Tyrell Fisher of Rexburg who is currently on felony parole. Madison Deputies and Rexburg Police Department Officers were able to locate the vehicle abandoned a short time later.”
“Deputies received information of two male individuals acting suspiciously in the area where the vehicle had been recovered. Madison deputies and Rexburg officers were able to locate a vehicle matching the description of the two males in the Teton Lakes Golf Course. Upon further questioning, Tyrell Fisher was found to be in possession of the keys to the stolen vehicle as well as the keys to a second stolen vehicle that had not yet been reported. The other male individual was released pending further investigation. Tyrell Fisher was booked into the Madison County Jail on two counts of Motor Vehicle Theft. The investigation is currently ongoing.”
