Water main on 6th and 7th street to shut off Thursday
The water main on 6th Street and 7th Street, between Holmes Avenue and Higbee Avenue, will be shut down on Thursday, July 7 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Community members in that area should be prepared for water service to be interrupted and for culinary water to be unavailable during that time.
The purpose of the shutdown is to allow for tie in of the new mainline to the existing mainline. In preparation, it is recommended that citizens fill containers with water for backup.
The City of Idaho Falls apologizes for the disruption in services and will do everything possible to minimize the shutdown time.
