A closed low will be digging in across the West and then track towards Eastern Idaho by Thursday into Friday before slowly exiting this weekend. Plan on lots of rain for weeks end and snow above 8000 feet.

Wednesday, still running warm with high into the 70’s but clouds will rapidly be increasing ahead of a major storm system that will be bringing in lots of rain for the end of the week. Chance of rain 40%.

Thursday, overcast skies with rain and heavy downpours possible. Cooler with highs staying steady into the 50’s. Chance of rain 100%.

Friday, cloudy, with highs into the lower 50’s for the Snake River Plain. Chance of rain is 80%. Saturday, a 20% chance of showers with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.
