Museum of Idaho donates solar eclipse viewing glasses
In just a little more than 90 days, crowds will be filling Interstate 15 to view the solar eclipse.
Friday, the Museum of Idaho donated 22,000 pairs of eclipse glasses to the two school districts in Idaho Falls
Jeff Bennett from Big Kid Science donated the glasses to the museum help make sure that students have a safe and educational experience.
“We are just encouraging the safe viewing experience of all kids in Idaho Falls so they get the once in a lifetime opportunity to view the eclipse and view it safely,” said Chloe Doucette, director of education for the Musuem of Idaho.
The museum will have exhibits about the eclipse all weekend beginning Aug. 19. The solar eclipse is Aug. 21.
