Weather update for August 6th

Many places across Southeastern Idaho will see haze and smoke from wildfires in Idaho and even from other states.

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality issued an air quality advisory for Pocatello and Chubbuck. An air quality advisory for Lincoln, Minidoka, Cassia and Blaine county were also issued.

An update on these advisories will be issued on Monday afternoon.

Highs for this week will be slightly cooler. Isolated thunderstorms are possible throughout the week. Next weekend expect drier and warmer weather conditions.

Monday: Highs in the lower 80’s. Hazy weather conditions from fires. Thunderstorms possible.

Tuesday: Highs in the 70’s. Partly sunny. Thunderstorms possible.

Wednesday: Highs in the upper 70’s. Thunderstorms possible.
