Thunder Ridge High School construction on schedule

Construction on the new Thunder Ridge High School is well underway.

The Board of Trustees got a chance to tour the new building Thursday.

One of the highlights was the auditorium where foam blocks are being used in the balcony to form stadium seating. Several classrooms have already been painted and cabinets are about to be installed.

It took several tries for the board to get the new school approved, and they say they are happy to finally see it coming to life.

“Every time I drive by I get teary-eyed looking at this,” Amy Landers, Vice Chairman of Bonneville D93 School Board, said. “I know how much we worked to get this passed in our community, it took a lot. It was a huge effort and this pays off just every time you see it.”

The high school is still on schedule to be completed and ready for school for fall of next year.
