Weather update for August 26th

A ridge of high pressure will continue to strengthen across the Great Basin. Expect warm and dry weather conditions for the rest of the weekend and the start of the work week. Temperatures could get into the 90’s for some places across the Snake Plain by Monday.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, highs will drop by a few degrees. There is also a chance of thunderstorm activity on on both of those days.

An air quality advisory for Custer and Lemhi county continue due to smoke from wildfires in the area. Air quality in those areas will range from good to unhealthy.

Sunday: Hazy. Broken clouds. Highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s.

Monday: Sunny, with highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s.

Tuesday: Isolated thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s.
