Lightning started fire southwest of Idaho Falls, now contained

UPDATE 8/30 11:25 p.m.: The Bureau of Land Management reports the Rising River fire is at 27 acres. Officials said containment is estimated for August 31. ORIGINAL: The Bureau of Land Management is working to contain a 10-acre fire. The Rising River fire is burning in lava beds 12 miles southwest of Idaho Falls. It is believed to have started by lightning strikes Tuesday afternoon. Five engines have been dispatched to fight the fire and a dozer is en route. No structures are threatened at this time, although smoke was visible from Interstate 15. As of 5:30 p.m., the fire is 0 percent contained.
