Snow removal parking ordinance starts Wednesday in Rigby

The Rigby Police Department reminds residents the snow parking removal ordinance starts for the season on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Officers said they will be placing reminder flyers on cars in the area.

According to the ordinance, no one shall park a motor vehicle in the Downtown, Town Square or other business area during the hours of 2:00 am to 7:00 am and on any street in the residential areas during the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm between Nov. 15 and March 15, 2018.

The department said once the snow starts flying and city works start plowing, officers may have to start ticketing and towing.
