Two men face charges for road rage incident

UPDATE 3/6/18: Two men are facing reckless driving charges for a road rage incident that left one man’s car on top of the icy Snake River.

Last Wednesday, Michael Bemis and Trevor Burg were driving on Utah Avenue near the Idaho Falls Walmart.

Police say Bemis started yelling at Burg for running a stop sign.

Burg then got out of his car and started threatening Bemis with a hammer.

They both got out of their cars and were yelling at each other.

Burg then got back in his car and drove toward Bemis, stopping just short of hitting him.

That’s when Bemis got into his car and chased Burg.

When they got to Memorial Drive, Burg lost control, spun into the embankment and onto the river.

Luckily, his car did not fall through the ice.
