ISU holds 17th annual Tech Expo

Over three thousand high schoolers all across Idaho gathered for the 17th annual Tech Expo, sponsored by the ISU College of Technology this afternoon.

ISU explains the purpose of this event is to showcase limitless opportunities available to thousands of high school students, the Idaho State University community, and residents of southeast Idaho. A combination of business, industry, and education provide these students with a potential future pathway.

Steve Keller, with the College of Technology stated, “It really gives the students a hands on feel of what college life is going to be like, and the projects, and the things they’re going to learn in their college of technology programs, and then immediately once they’ve found a program that they’re interested in, they can go to the next table over and see an industry partner where they would actually be working.”

Some departments in attendance included CAAD, an ISU stem program, the Department of Physics, and the Avcenter.

Student, Brayden Hart, a future CNA stated, “Learning about today is you know, getting out there and actually looking for new opportunities.
