Students experience science on field trip
It was organized chaos at the Bennion Student Union building at University Place in Idaho Falls Thursday.
More than 800 4th and 5th graders took part in a science field trip that was sponsored by the Idaho State University Chemistry Department.
The students were able to participate in more than 20 hands-on experiments.
“I really thought that the kids needed science really young. Other words we lose them, and they don’t go into the stem fields. And so everybody here on the Idaho Falls campus is willing to go into insanity with me, and the science spectacular was born,” said Sharlene Jolley, ISU Chemistry Department.
