Fire destroys Labelle area home
UPDATE: 3-22 9 a.m. Investigators were on the scene of a house fire at 472 N. 4400 E. in the Labelle area of Jefferson County Thursday. They are attempting to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Jefferson Central Fire Chief William Pope said the fire was reported at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday. The log home was a total loss, but there were no known injuries.
Some embers within the heavy logs reignited overnight, but firefighters quickly responded to put out the fire.

Central Fire District crews responded to a structure fire at 472 N. 4400 E. in Jefferson County around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.Crews had to go to Ririe to get more water for the fire, and firefighters are still on scene as of 5:30 p.m.
According to officials, the house is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
