Challis woman celebrates 104 years
Marie Doll of Challis turned 104 years old Thursday.
“Happy Birthday dear Marie. Happy Birthday to you! Yeah!” sang the crowd.
Family and friends celebrated with her at Diamond Peak Assisted Living Center. As a special surprise, her younger brother, John, who is 82-years old, came in from Astoria, Oregon to help with the celebration.
Doll’s favorite thing to do is needle point.
For her birthday dinner, she wanted chicken noodle soup and chose maple bars instead of cake for dessert.
When asked about her secret to long living, she said, “The devil didn’t want me!”
