Local couple receives home makeover

Zions Bank held their 28th annual Paint-a-Thon service project this week where a dozen local bank employees volunteered to help brighten a local couple’s home.

David and Martha Brockway’s Idaho Falls home received a makeover that included a fresh coat of paint along with lawn care to their property.

“Each year, we look forward to working together to help meet the needs of homeowners like David and Martha,” said Zions Bank executive banking relationship manager and Paint-a-Thon team captain Jesse Jaramillo. “Not only is the project rewarding for both our employee volunteers and for our homeowners, but it demonstrates Zions Bank’s mission to create value in our communities.”

The program is meant to enable elderly residents to take pride in their homes and maintain their independence.

Over the past 28 years, Zions Bank employees have painted 1,182 homes throughout Idaho and Utah.

“The end goal is really to get our employees and their families and even the communities together in a united effort to really make the community better,” said Jaramillo. “This year we will brighten about 42 homes, and we look forward to continuing to do that for the community.”
