Center Street Underpass to open Friday
Pocatello plans a show Friday to give the public an up-close view of the improvements made to the Center Street underpass this summer.
On the west side of the underpass, city officials will join the Pocatello Chiefs for a public ribbon cutting at 2 p.m.
Construction crews spent the past month repairing the facade of the east and west sides of the underpass, reconstructed medians, upgraded vehicle tunnel lights to light-emitting diodes, and re-coated the pedestrian railings.
Following the ceremony, the underpass will be open to both vehicle and foot traffic at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
