One killed in motorcycle crash in Jefferson County

Idaho State Police is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Jefferson County.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hwy. 48 and 4200 East.

ISP says a front-end loader was heading south on 4200 East.

48-year-old David Stokes of Rigby was riding a motorcycle heading west on the highway.

Idaho State Police says Stokes used the left turn lane to pass a vehicle that had slowed to make a right hand turn. He then struck the front-end loader in the intersection.

Stokes died at the scene.

He was wearing a helmet.
