Idaho gas prices more than 45 cents higher than last year

According to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 802 stations in Idaho, gasoline prices in the Gem State have fallen 1.3 cents per gallon in the past week. That’s an average of $3.19 per gallon.

This compares with the national average of $2.84 per gallon.

Average gasoline prices on September 17 in Idaho have ranged widely over the last five years:

$2.72/g in 2017 $2.45/g in 2016 $2.76/g in 2015 $3.70/g in 2014 $3.74/g in 2013

Prices Sunday were 46.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago and are 1.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

Areas near Idaho and their current gas prices:

Montana- $2.96/g, up 0.8 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.95/g. Boise- $3.20/g, down 1.3 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.21/g. Spokane- $3.26/g, up 0.9 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.25/g.
