Another moose killed in vehicle collision in Wyoming

Another moose has been struck by a car and killed in Wyoming.

The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports the moose-vehicle collision occurred early Friday on Highway 390, near the intersection with Highway 22.

Authorities say Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to a call at about 2:45 a.m. that a moose had been hit.

Officer Chad Ludwig says the driver was coming around a curve in the highway, saw the moose and swerved, but didn’t have enough time to avoid the collision.

The driver was treated at a hospital for stitches for a gash on her face, which Ludwig guessed was from broken glass from the windshield.

The intersection of highways 22 and 390 is a frequent site for wildlife-vehicle collisions.
