Is there a growing problem with gangs in Idaho Falls?
When you hear about gangs, you might think of bigger metro areas, but what about Idaho Falls?
The Idaho Falls Police Department is concerned enough to bring a presentation to the city council Monday.
They want city leaders to know it may be time to put a little more effort into staffing and budgeting for a police gang unit.
“You are never going to stop gangs, but at least we can try to deter that just by having a gang unit, and making that known and going after some of these people,” said Idaho Falls Officer Sato.
Officers saying their message is, ‘If you see something, say something.’
