Jackson parking study goes to the public
After a year of study, the Town of Jackson will host an open house tonight to review the results of a parking survey.
The Town Council approved a contract with Kimley-Horn, LLC to study parking in the downtown core district in December of 2017. The firm will also provide a town-wide parking a mobility framework. July parking counts will also be folded into the study.
“Parking is a key component of our overall transportation and quality of life here in Jackson, and it’s critical that we have accurate and robust data to report to the community and to the Town Council,” said Planning Director Tyler Sinclair. “It’s also very important for us to hear community members’ ideas and input regarding parking.”
A formal presentation of the findings will begin at 6 p.m. at the Jackson Room of the Wort Hotel.
