Bonneville School District 93 looking at a bond election in May
Bonneville School District 93 is looking at a bond election in May.
The school board held a work session Wednesday to discuss the bond. The district worked with a focus group of patrons for the past few weeks talking about proposals for the bond.
Next step is sending a survey out to all of the patrons and voters.
“We’ll send out a survey to our parents directly,” said assistant superintendent Scott Woolstenhulme. “Through an email, through a Facebook (post) and through social media. Much of the discussion focused on using an outside firm coming in to do random phone calls to our voters to get a more statistically more valid sample.”
The bond could include a new elementary school, renovations to two high schools and reworking the special education programs at the schools.
The board must decide by mid-March to be included in the May election.
